Regardless of the weather, the Sun B.E.A.M.’S Baby & Kids Boutique is now shining at 136 S. Washington in downtown Sonora, Ca. Sun B.E.A.M.’S specializes in quality children’s clothing, shoes, accessories, baby toys and books.
With start-up and ongoing help from their local Small Business Development Center, Melissa Harrington, Nicole Bautista, and Kim Weeks, are managing and running the new shop.
“It is such a pleasure to work with this entire family. They are smart, hardworking and have done a beautiful job selecting quality merchandise for their boutique. Their new store is a treasure for our downtown area and a reason for tourist to stop and shop!” says Lee Ann Fox, counselor for the Tuolumne County SBDC office, a satellite of the Alliance SBDC.
Daughters Melissa and Nicole, with mom Kim, have filled their store with exceptional children’s items; focusing on quality, value and a pleasant shopping experience. They are taking advantage of the newest technology available with Social Media and Search Engine Marketing. They offer gift registries and coupon redemption via Facebook “check-in”; an iPad handles their credit card swipes and serves as their keypad ~ giving customer a nice big screen for purchase display description and pricing.
“Lee Ann helped us with our Marketing and Business Plan before starting in business and continues to support us now that we have opened our shop. Her expertise has been so valuable to our successful start in this venture and her continued counsel is greatly appreciated by the three of us, we couldn’t imagine doing this without her”, says Nicole.
