Are the SBDC’s services confidential?Absolutely confidential as required by Federal regulations through our agreement with the U.S. SBA. Are my employees allowed to attend the Workshops & Seminars?Owners, managers and key employees are welcome to sign up for the Workshops & Seminars. We understand that good employees make a successful business! Consulting services are limited to the owners or business principles. What does “the Alliance” refer to on this website?Our SBDC is a part of the Stanislaus Economic Development and Workforce Alliance, whose mission and responsibility is to oversee both economic development and workforce training activities in the greater Stanislaus County area. Are there any grants available for my business?Yes…but is the usual answer given by most credible grant experts. The SBA states on their website, ”the SBA does not offer grants to start or expand small businesses, although it does offer a wide variety of loan programs.” Grants generally support non-profit organizations and state or local governments.
